If your going to do a bit of decorating, then you might as well do it right in the first place. There’s no point in papering over cracks, slapping emulsion over woodwork or just trying to pretty things up. If you don’t do it properly then things soon look tired again, the paint chips, the cracks reappear and the wallpaper curls at the edges.
If a jobs worth doing, it’s worth doing well!
Again not the best picture, but. New internal doors, gloss work, glass panels above door frames removed and made good, coveing fitted.
H'mmm nice, not only has someone tiled the windowsill's 1970's style, but then they've painted over the tiles - Like that works - I think we'll do something about that!

That's a bit of a nasty crack there. It didn't look quite that bad until I started poking at the loose plaster and filler fitted by the previous DIY expert!
Now that's how you fix a crack!
Made good. Unsurprisingly it's not cracked again in the 4 years since this was done.
